The Art of Reading and Writing: Teacher Workshop

Presenters: Old Jail Art Center staff: Kathryn Mitchell, Education Director; and Shaela Nay, Outreach Coordinator

Description: Language arts paired with visual arts can open students' imaginations to new worlds of creative thinking and memory skills.

This workshop will bridge the gap between the subjects by showing innovative and fun ways to bring art into reading and language arts classrooms.  Expect a lot of activities and hands-on projects. A light breakfast will be provided.
