The Old Jail Art Center is pleased to offer classes via distance learning.
Students can go on a guided virtual tour of the museum, create art projects with a museum educator, or participate in an Art to Go class tailored to suit the classroom curriculum. The museum provides all of the necessary supplies and materials. All materials will be shipped in advance via FedEx. Some materials may have to be returned after the class. Fees vary per class.
Reservations: Please schedule distance learning classes at least two weeks in advance. Classes are limited to 30 students, without additional fees, and one school connection so that the students have the instructor’s full attention.
"Dear Ms. Mitchell, thank you so much for the outstanding videoconference today. Our students thoroughly enjoyed it as you can tell by the focused attention you see on their faces in these photos. We have had quite a few videoconferences and yours was by far the best at engaging students and providing a memorable learning experience. It was also a great opportunity to work collaboratively with the two classroom teachers of these students who volunteered to read The Pot that Juan Built to their classes before the videoconference. Our Spanish teacher was also a part of the videoconference and commented on the successful integration of the culture and geography of Chihuahua. We thank you again and hope to participate in another videoconference with your museum in the future."
